Interesting show at Arnolfini Gallery - Garry Fabian Miller: Adore

Writer's picture: Wai Yi ChungWai Yi Chung

During the Easter break I went to Bristol and my friend brought me to the Arnolfini Gallery for a adorable exhibition: Garry Fabian Miller: Adore. Miller uses an interesting process namely c-type print from unique dye destructive print which he uses to create high quality and cameraless photos in the darkroom. This process allows him to make art with very fine finishing and intriguing visuals, like a ring of light like the HAL 9000. Beside large image prints he also made artist books, some textile art, sound art and stuff. He even collaborate with textile company to produce a mat which looks like lights emitting from it. He also collect things and has close links to crafts so some of his collection I suppose, the work of his friends are even from the UCA...
